Where do ocean monuments spawn?

Ocean monuments are large underwater temples in deep ocean biomes. At most one monument generates in any 512 × 512 block area. They need deep ocean all around them, so you find them in wide, open ocean.

How to find ocean monuments without a seed map

Buy an ocean explorer map from an apprentice cartographer villager.
Sail over deep ocean and look down for the glow of sea lanterns and the prismarine outline.
Use the ocean monument finder with your seed to get X and Z before you leave land.
Bring ways to breathe and see underwater: you will fight guardians and three elder guardians.

Java vs Bedrock

In Bedrock Edition the top of the monument's roof is always at Y 56, and monuments can also generate in frozen, cold and lukewarm deep oceans. Structure positions differ between Java and Bedrock for the same seed; this finder uses Java generation.
