About MC Seed Maps
Updated 2026-09-27
MC Seed Maps is a free website that shows you what a Minecraft world looks like from its seed, and helps you find structures and biomes before you start exploring. It is built and run by Syed Zawwar, an independent developer based in Pakistan.
Who runs MC Seed Maps?
MC Seed Maps is run by one person: Syed Zawwar, an independent developer based in Pakistan (portfolio: syedzawwar.com). He built the site to be a fast, clean seed map with simple finder tools for Java Edition, plus biome maps for Bedrock Edition.
There is no company, investor or publisher behind the site. Advertising pays for hosting and development, which is how the tools stay free.
What does the site do?
You enter a seed, pick your edition and version, and the site draws a map of that world. From there you can:
- see the biome layout of the world
- show where structures such as villages, strongholds and ancient cities should generate (Java Edition)
- use finder pages for single structures, like the village finder
- read guides that explain seeds and world generation in plain language
On Bedrock Edition, biome layout matches Java since 1.18 for the same seed, but structure positions differ. That is why our Bedrock mode shows biomes only. Structures are Java-only for now.
How does the seed map work?
The map is powered by cubiomes, an open-source library that recreates the game's world generation. We compile it to WebAssembly so it runs directly in your browser. Your seed and coordinates are processed on your own device, not on our servers. See Credits for the libraries we use and their licences.
Positions on the map are predictions based on world generation. Terrain can stop a structure from generating, so before a long trip, confirm a location with /locate structure minecraft:<id> in a test world.
Dungeons (monster rooms) are not supported by our engine.
What does "Beta" mean?
"Beta" means we have not finished checking that version against the real game. Every Java version we offer, from 1.18 to 26.3, passed our in-game golden tests on 27 September 2026 (about 99% of structure checks matched in each), so they are labelled Verified. The Bedrock biome map is Verified too: on the official Bedrock server, /locate biome found the same biome as our map at 98.3% of 600 test points. In those tests we compare our map with /locate results in real test worlds for a set of seeds. A version is marked "Verified" when at least 95% of results match. Our editorial policy explains the process in full.
How do we write and check content?
Coordinates come only from our engine and are always labelled as predictions. Game facts are checked against the Minecraft Wiki and official changelogs, and each page lists its sources. Read the editorial policy for details, including how we use AI tools and how we fix mistakes.
How can you contact us?
Email contact@mcseedmaps.com for bug reports, wrong coordinates, feature requests, privacy requests or advertising. The contact page lists what to include so we can help faster.
Is MC Seed Maps an official Minecraft site?

NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT/SERVICE. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.
