MC Seed Maps is built on open-source work by other people. This page lists the projects we use, who made them and the licences they are shared under.
What powers the seed map?
The seed map uses cubiomes, an open-source C library that recreates the game's world generation. We compile it to WebAssembly so it runs in your browser.

Who made the icons?
The icons on MC Seed Maps are our own. We do not use Minecraft logos, textures or game art.
Where do the game facts come from?
We check game facts against the Minecraft Wiki and official changelogs. Minecraft Wiki content is available under CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 unless otherwise noted. We do not copy wiki text: we write our own explanations and link to the pages we used in each article's sources. See our editorial policy for how we check content.
Is MC Seed Maps connected to Mojang or Microsoft?
No. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB and Microsoft.
