This page explains how we make and check everything on MC Seed Maps. Our rule is simple: we only publish what we can back up with our engine, an in-game test or a named source, and we say clearly when something is a prediction.
Where do the coordinates come from?
Every coordinate on the site comes from our engine, which uses the open-source cubiomes world-generation library. We never type coordinates in by hand or copy them from other sites.
Engine results are labelled as predictions. Terrain can stop a structure from generating, so we always suggest confirming a location with /locate structure minecraft:<id> in a test world before a long trip.
What do "Beta" and "Verified" mean?
A game version is labelled Beta until it passes our golden tests. For each version, we create real test worlds from a fixed set of seeds and compare our engine's output with the results of /locate in the game.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Beta | Golden tests are not finished, or not yet passed. Results are likely right but not confirmed. |
| Verified | Our engine output matched /locate results in at least 95% of golden test checks. |
Java Edition 26.3 passed its golden tests on 27 September 2026: in 10 test worlds, the spawn matched exactly every time and 99% of 1,007 structure checks matched, so it is labelled Verified. Trail ruins are the weakest type (about 95%), so their finder shows an "approximate" note. The same test on the official servers for 26.2, 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.8, 1.21.5, 1.21.4, 1.21.3, 1.21.1, 1.20.6, 1.19.4, 1.19.2 and 1.18.2 gave the same result, so every Java version on the site is Verified. The Bedrock biome map was tested against the official Bedrock Dedicated Server 1.26.52.3: in 10 test seeds with 60 points each (600 points), /locate biome found the same biome as our map at 98.3% of them, and text seeds were converted the same way as on Java. So the Bedrock biome map is also labelled Verified. Bedrock generates structures differently, so we do not show them.
How are seed pages chosen and checked?
We publish a seed page only after someone has loaded the seed in the game and checked it, with screenshots. If we cannot check a seed in the game, we do not publish a page for it.
How do we check game facts?
Game facts, such as which biomes a structure appears in or what loot it holds, are checked against the Minecraft Wiki and the official changelogs. Every guide and finder page lists its sources. If we cannot confirm a fact, we leave it out rather than guess. When a fact differs between Java and Bedrock, we say which edition it applies to.
Do we use AI tools?
Yes, for drafting. Some drafts are written with the help of AI tools. A human then checks every draft against its sources before it is published. AI tools are never used to create coordinates, seeds or screenshots.
How do we handle mistakes?
If you find an error, email contact@mcseedmaps.com. For wrong coordinates, please include the seed, edition, version, structure, the coordinates we showed and your /locate result (see the contact page).
When we confirm an error, we fix it and update the page's "Updated" date.
Do we accept paid placements?
No. We do not accept payment to feature seeds, rank anything or change what our tools show. The site is paid for by ads, which are shown by Google AdSense and are kept separate from our content.
Who is responsible for the content?
Syed Zawwar, who runs MC Seed Maps, is responsible for everything published on the site. Read more on the about page.
